Beech Communications
We are an intimate boutique agency that produces corporate and non-broadcast films. Our mission is to deliver high-quality content and an exceptional experience for our clients.
Who Are Beech?
I set up Beech in 2008, after several years producing corporate and non-broadcast films, because I realised that many of my clients wanted to work with a more intimate, boutique agency. Knowing that you have the same regular point of contact, with a bespoke team tailored to your needs, simply makes communication more pleasant and effective, and the resulting films better targeted, at a more affordable price.

Best For You is an innovative approach to mental health care designed for – and in consultation with – young people and their families. As part of the programme, we make films in partnership with YouTube to ensure young people can access accurate information about mental health and how to get support.
This film about eating disorders was created because eating disorders are an urgent global issue: 70 million people internationally live with an eating disorder, and anorexia nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness.
In the UK, increasing numbers of young people are developing eating disorders, and it is essential they have access to information that both helps them identify problems with eating or exercise in themselves or their loved ones and encourages them to seek help as soon as possible.
Our animation was created in partnership with people with lived experience of eating disorders and clinicians from Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and West London NHS Trust to ensure is portrays eating disorders in a safe, non-triggering, and non-imitable way, to protect young people who may be put at risk by content that demonstrates unhealthy behaviours.
If ‘What are eating disorders’ is featured on Piccadilly Lights, a huge number of people will have access to information that reduces stigma and misconceptions about disordered eating, helps them spot early warning signs, and encourages them to access the support they need to recover.

Case Studies
Training films
Sarah has been producing training dramas many different companies for nearly 20 years. Creating characters that audiences can identify with really helps them to connect with the issues and subjects they are studying.
Beech has recently produced a number of short dramas to help bring online learning to life.
In one case, we produced four different storylines each one comprising several episodes. The programmes were made in partnership with Kineo and the client’s internal learning team who had developed the modules together. The whole process was extremely rewarding and ran very smoothly thanks to the support of both parties.
Another production also used a series of dramatized scenes to give bring characters and scenarios to life. Using drama and mixed media, particularly film, has time and again proved a highly effective tool to enhance the learning process.
We love working together with the learning consultants to ensure that the films target all the correct learning points, while still sounding natural and spontaneous.
All the films were a great success due to a stellar cast and a talented creative team put together by Beech.
Cyber films
Over the last year I’ve produced several dramas for CTN as part of Cyber awareness for BP. These have been designed to show how important it is for us all to be vigilant about cyber security whether at work or at home.
Working with CTN and exec producer, Rebecca Denholm, on these films has been a joy. The team included Jason Edwards writing and directing.
Templeton Prize 2021
It was a great honour to meet and film Dr Jane Goodall for the Templeton Prize 2021. This was another CTN production – and one I’m particularly grateful to have been able to produce. Spending time with such a remarkable woman was incredibly stimulating.
We created two films for this project. The first, due to Covid, was a pre-recorded interview with Dr Goodall accepting her prize online. The second was a longer film, Reflections, which explored her life of purpose and the work that led to her winning the 2021 Templeton Prize. View the film here: https://youtu.be/K9TiRytw-OU
